Abstract

Initially shunned by academic critics who accused him of amateurism, the prolific writer Zamenga Batukezanga is now the best known and most widely read author in the Democratic Republic of Congo. By challenging that prejudice, this article aims to give him the place he deserves in French-language Congolese literature.
