Vol. 8 No. 1 (2026): REVUE INTERDISCIPLINAIRE FRANCOPHONE
Eight years after the Department of French Letters and Civilization boldly decided, in June 2019, to launch a high‑quality scientific publication to give visibility to research conducted at the University of Kinshasa, the Revue Interdisciplinaire Francophone (RIFRA) has consistently upheld its publication schedule and its commitment to opening its pages to diverse fields of scientific inquiry. This fifteenth issue is dedicated to honoring a member of its scientific committee, Professor Matthieu Abata Diabar Sona, who was tragically murdered at his home during the night of January 7–8, 2026. During the deeply moving funeral on February 3, 2026, the Department Chair, Professor Raphaël Numbi Kyose, expressed profound sorrow at the loss of this towering figure whose memory remains vivid within the academic community. In front of the University’s administrative building, his twin and “masuwa,” Professor Jean‑Baudouin Mokoha Monga‑Adogo, recalled their shared journey and the promising ascent cut short by a cruel hand. Professor Emeritus Jean Nsonsa Vinsa, director of CELAC, also paid tribute to him. RIFRA has sought to immortalize these well‑deserved homages to Matthieu Abata Diabar Sona, honoring his legendary calm, unmatched intellectual rigor, and exemplary presence in a disoriented world.
